Reaction Tackle started in a basement and garage in Wisconsin, founded by Chad and Heather Hodach. Chad was a club bass tournament angler who was tired of the trade-off between premium tackle that costs a fortune and budget gear that breaks when you need it most. Heather brought the business operations together to turn the idea into a real company.
Fishing tournaments taught Chad that gear matters. The right braid, the right hook, the right jig — they're the difference between a tournament finish and an early ride home. But pro-grade tackle was priced out of reach for most weekend anglers, and the affordable options on the shelves weren't built to perform. So Chad and Heather set out to change that: build tournament-quality fishing tackle and sell it directly to anglers at fair prices, cutting out the middleman markup.
