Reaction Tackle 8-Strand Premium Braided Line — 15 Colors
- ✅ 8-strand construction — smoother, rounder, and longer-casting than 4-strand braid
- ✅ Whisper-quiet through the guides — silent retrieves, no zipper sound
- ✅ Maximum casting distance — round profile cuts through the air with less drag
- ✅ Built for serious anglers — premium materials, premium performance
🎣 Why Anglers Upgrade to 8-Strand
- Smoother on every cast — 8 strands woven tightly together create a near-perfect round profile, reducing friction through the rod guides for longer, more accurate casts.
- Quieter retrieves — the rounder profile virtually eliminates the "zipper" noise that 4-strand braid makes through the guides. Critical when fish are pressured or shy.
- Higher tensile strength per diameter — 8 strands distribute load more evenly than 4, giving you stronger line at the same diameter (or thinner line at the same lb-test).
- Superior knot strength — tighter weave holds knots more reliably under load, especially on heavy-cover hooksets and saltwater fights.
- Zero stretch, all-day sensitivity — feel every tick, bump, and structure contact. Built for jigging, deep-water finesse, and offshore presentations.
🎨 15 Color Options — Match Any Water
- Stealth options — moss green, low-vis green, and dark colors for clear water and pressured fish
- High-visibility options — hi-vis yellow, orange, and bright greens for line watching and finesse bite detection
- Multi-color metered patterns — distance markers every 10 feet for precise depth control when trolling or jigging deep
- Specialty patterns — camo and blended colors for situational stealth across freshwater and inshore saltwater
🎯 Perfect For
- Anglers who've outgrown 4-strand and want a true performance upgrade
- Tournament fishing where every cast matters
- Long-distance casting — surf, pier, and open-water presentations
- Heavy-cover work where smooth, quiet retrieves trigger more bites
- Offshore, big-game, and saltwater applications up to 300lb test
- Trolling, jigging, finesse fishing, and deep-water bottom presentations
💡 4-Strand vs. 8-Strand — What's the Difference?
4-strand braid is built for everyday fishing: durable, abrasion-resistant, and reliable. 8-strand braid takes everything further. The tighter weave produces a rounder, smoother line that casts farther, sounds quieter through the guides, and handles knots more cleanly under pressure. If you fish often, fish hard, or fish for a living — the difference becomes obvious within the first few casts.
Best line I've used by far, caught Bass salmon and now musky on the braid. Fished for musky nothing hitting put heavy rod down picked up my bass set up with a flatside square bill and first cast mid 30s musky slammed my lure no leader straight braid blue camo 20lb worked absolutely perfect too bad our net wasn't made from it.
Hi there, thanks for sharing this incredible catch! We’re thrilled the 20 lb Blue Camo braid held up to that musky on your bass setup. Hope you land an even bigger one next time!
After doing research on this braided line I wanted to give it a try. I replaced both of my 50w reels with the 80lb 8 strand. The next day went out and caught a large wahoo! I will be definitely buying again!
Hi Cendy, thanks for giving our 8-strand line a try! We’re thrilled it helped you land a large wahoo, and we look forward to helping with your next order.
Great price, arrived quickly... let's see what the wahoo think 😆😆

Hi there, thank you for the fantastic review! We're glad our braid stands up to your offshore adventures. Tight lines!
Loving the red braid I got, the only upset I have was the packaging. I received my package ripped open, other than that the braid is amazing caught some catfish with it already.
Hi Rudy, thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience! We're glad you love the braid and that it helped you catch some catfish. We apologize for the packaging issue and will work to improve that. Happy fishing!
I started using Reaction Tackle braided line about 5 years ago when I casted out my lure for the first time it flew further than the previous stuff I had spooled and that automatically was a game changer since I fish off a kayak! Now I dont have to put so much effort into casting just a simple fling and the line come out like nothing! Very smooth casting and the next thing i noticed was the durability! My previous line would get changed out after every season of fishing down in deep south Texas where the hot sun can bake your line causing it to fray easily! Reaction Tackle has held up to the elements and the Good ol' pounding I put my gear through! The best thing about the line was the price... Im glad I made the switch and can back this product... if you are thinking of trying it out pull the trigger! You will have some fish pulling at the other end!!!
Hi Carlos, thanks for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear that our braided line has improved your fishing trips and stood up to the tough conditions down in Texas. Happy fishing and tight lines!
Great product with fast delivery
Hi Duane, thank you for your positive feedback! We're glad you're happy with the product and fast delivery.
Love this braid. Put it on my new rod combo and caught 21 fish the first time out. No snags.
Hi Bill, we're thrilled to hear you love the braid and had such a successful first outing! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Pink braid is the best high-vis line available. I have Reaction Tackle braid on all but my crankbait rods. Love the line and the value!
I bought the 25lb braid for fishing at piers. Reeled in a 28in hammerhead shark. Took the waves and rough terrain like a champ. Only broke off once and that was because I had something very large on with teeth. I will definitely keep trying this braided fishing line.
Hi there! Wow, catching a hammerhead is impressive! We're thrilled to hear our line held up well and that you're enjoying it. Thanks for sharing your experience and happy fishing!
